What To Do With Hazardous Items
Harrison County and Jackson County both run periodic household hazardous waste (HHW) collection events where residents can drop off paints, chemicals, and other restricted items for free. Check your county's website for the next scheduled event.
For propane tanks, most hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowe's) offer exchange programs. For old paint, many local donation centers and ReStores accept usable paint donations.
