Old appliances can't just go to the curb β EPA regulations cover refrigerant disposal, and most municipal pickup programs won't touch them. We handle the removal and proper disposal for you.
Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners contain refrigerants regulated under EPA Section 608. Leaving them at the curb or dumping them improperly is a violation β and most curbside pickup programs in Mississippi won't collect them without prior scheduling and fees.
Ponderosa Hauling removes appliances from wherever they are in your home β including tight laundry closets, garages, and second-floor locations. We disconnect and haul them ourselves. Disposal is handled through proper channels, including certified recycling facilities for metals and regulated components.
Pricing is the same flat-rate model as all our other services β based on the volume of material being removed. Labor, haul-away, and disposal are all included.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance before you arrive?
For most appliances, no β we handle disconnection. For gas appliances, we recommend having the gas line capped by a plumber before our arrival as a safety precaution.
Can I leave a refrigerator at the curb in Mississippi?
Generally no without scheduling a bulk pickup in advance, and many municipalities won't collect items with refrigerants at all. We take them same-day and handle proper disposal.
Can you take both appliances and other junk at the same time?
Yes β we price by total volume of material removed, so combining appliances with furniture, boxes, or other junk is common and cost-effective.
